Lynx and the Forest Goddess ORIGINAL
Acrylic on canvas, 50 x 70 cm.
This artwork draws inspiration from Finnish folk mythology and the ancient symbolism of the forest.
In northern folklore, the forest is sometimes imagined as a living realm watched over by a quiet forest goddess, a guardian spirit believed to protect animals, know the healing plants, and keep the balance of the woods.
Only the lynxes notice her. The Eurasian lynx is known for its sharp vision and quiet observation. In myths and folk stories the lynx has sometimes been regarded as an animal that can see through illusions, even through objects, and reveal hidden truths. In some European and Indigenous traditions, the lynx is also associated with the idea that it can sense the spirit world or hidden knowledge.
Gold paint and textured surface. Signed on the back, with the edges painted in the colors of the work.
Delivery as a rolled canvas is included in the price.
